Comic Book Pulls: 06052013

New Comic Book Wednesday is tomorrow, and it appears to be a major haul for me at 27 comics! I am beyond excited! As much as I am a fan of DC and Marvel comics, I am becoming even more of a fan of the indies lately.

Valiant Comics has me hooked with their relaunches of late with Archer & Armstrong, X-O Manowar, and Shadowman. I am also looking forward to the upcoming relaunch of Quantum & Woody.

Image got me with The Bounce, Jupiter's Legacy, and the eternally late America's Got Powers.

BOOM! Studios and Avatar with their releases of Suicide Risk and Uber respectively.

But the big surprise was the rebirth of pulp with Dynamite. Man, oh man! Green Hornet. The Spider. Black Bat. Miss Fury. The Shadow. And the miniseries that features them all: Masks. I've been having a blast catching up with these issues digitally and in print. Binging on these issues is the highlight of my weekends. These are some of the best-written comics out right now. The pulp genre is back and better than ever.
